This is author’s old Hong Kong newspaper article collections and compilations on Lee Siu Loong, the King of Kung Fu and the legendary world martial arts film star. He was better known as Bruce Lee to the West and the rest of the world. But in Hong Kong and to the Chinese, he was Lee Siu Loong, the little dragon or ‘Lei Sam Goek’ (meaning Three Legs Lee). Volume 1 contains many rare original, vintage HK newspaper articles (1970-1971) on the rise of the little dragon to his superstardom in the Far East. These early articles on Lee give you an insight of the Lee’s era which the Hong Kong readers experienced back in the early 1970s. These articles are mainly extracted and compiled from several major Hong Kong newspapers which are now out-of-print. These include Kung Sheung Daily News (1926-1984), Kung Sheung Evening News (1930-1984), Wah Kiu Yat Po (1947-1991), Ta Kung Pao (1938-1991). Except in Hong Kong, most of these vintage articles have never seen the daylight for the past four decades. This truly makes the information a gem for Lee’s fans. The author is a long time fan and historian of Lee and has spent countless hours and days researching, compiling and writing this book. To continue paying tribute to Lee, there are plans of releasing volume 2, 3 for Lee’s subsequent HK years (1972-1973) in the near future, depending on the response of volume 1. Hence, to show your support, it will be deeply appreciated if you could put up a good review if you think this book is worth getting it. Thank you and enjoy the book!
